#MEDIEVAL TOTAL WAR 1 NOT RESPONDING WINDOWS 10#
Total War: Medieval 1 was released before Windows 10 were available and as such was never tested specifically these Windows OS Systems. They say a few times stuff like "may not run without issues", but the game has never opened for a second. I got the following message from Sega, I already did all this stuff, but tried it all again anyway and error message is still "graphics card not supported". Originally posted by jeoberschlake:I contacted Steam about it and they sent me to this link, said to contact again if I've done all this and still not working.Ĭheck the Direct Play checkbox and click Ok What's happened since that post?

Didn't work for me but here are the directions how to do that:Ĭheck if the Programs and features part of the Control Panel has opened Also, on the article I read on how to install DirectX, it also had the suggestion to enable Direct Play in Legacy Components. But I downloaded it and installed it, now what? Do I need to open it somewhere or how do I select to run the game in it rather than the version I already had? Anyway I tried opening the game again and it says the same thing. I looked around online first and several places said it's true that some older games will not play on the newer version of DirectX. I'm in over my head with this stuff though, I downloaded DirectX 9 because it said on the Total War page that it's required. I contacted Steam about it and they sent me to this link, said to contact again if I've done all this and still not working.
